In 1996, the Research on Armenian Architecture (RAA) expanded to Los Angeles, California, thanks to the foundational support of Shahen Haroutunian, Armen Janian, Razmik Harutiunian, Marco Brambilla. These individuals formed the first executive circle of the organization's American branch, which was led by its dedicated first president, Shahen Haroutunian of blessed memory.
